Program Description
The Graduate Certificate in Program Design and Evaluation is designed for currently employed professionals and students. You will explore approaches to evaluation research, program design and evaluation in communities with a focus on problems of social significance. The graduate certificate is designed to provide you with transferable skills applicable across industry sectors, populations, and challenges or problems. You will gain cross-cultural competencies, community engagement skills and applied research experience. The program is offered online by the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences Southwest Institute for Research on Women.
Learning Outcomes
- Apply various analytical frameworks to characterize complex social problems.
- Apply program implementation and scale up frameworks to strengthen social program outcomes.
- Apply methods and tools of monitoring and evaluation used to address identified challenges or problems.
- Demonstrate competency in culturally-appropriate, community-based participatory approaches to problem solving, monitoring and evaluation, and translation for program and policy change.
